Terms of Sale

The fine print

These terms apply to every puppy sold by Love Home Frenchies. They are here to protect our puppies, our families and us, so please read them before placing a deposit.

1. Reserving a puppy

A puppy, or a place on the waitlist for an upcoming litter, is reserved with a $400 deposit. The deposit is taken off the final price of your puppy.

Deposits are non-refundable, because we turn other families away once a puppy is reserved. If your plans change, your deposit can be moved once to another puppy or a later litter within 12 months.

If we cannot offer you a puppy from the litter you reserved, or if our vet finds a health problem before pickup, you can move your deposit to another puppy or receive a full refund.

2. Price and payment

Puppy prices range from $1,200 to $1,800, and each puppy’s price is shown on its listing. The remaining balance is due on or before the day you collect your puppy. A puppy does not leave our home until it is paid in full.

3. Going home

Puppies go home at 8 weeks of age or older. Every puppy leaves with a vet check, vaccinations and deworming appropriate for its age, a written health record and a puppy pack.

Pickup or delivery is agreed with you after reserving. Any transport costs are paid by the buyer. Responsibility for the puppy passes to you at handover.

4. Your vet check

Please take your puppy to a licensed veterinarian within 72 hours of pickup. If your vet finds a serious illness or defect that was present at the time of sale, contact us straight away with the vet’s written report. You may return the puppy for a full refund of the price paid or choose a replacement puppy.

5. 18-month health guarantee

We guarantee your puppy against life-threatening genetic or congenital conditions for 18 months from the date your puppy goes home. If a licensed veterinarian diagnoses such a condition in that time, send us the written diagnosis and records and we will offer a replacement puppy of equal value from a future litter.

The guarantee does not cover:

  • illness or injury caused by accidents, neglect, poor care or an unsuitable diet
  • parasites, infections, allergies, skin problems or cherry eye
  • umbilical hernias
  • conditions that are common in French Bulldogs and not life-threatening
  • vet bills, transport costs or other expenses

The guarantee is void if the puppy is not kept up to date with vaccinations and regular vet visits, if records cannot be provided, or if the puppy is bred before 18 months of age.

6. Care

French Bulldogs do not handle heat well. You agree to keep your puppy indoors as a family pet, out of hot cars and away from intense exercise in warm weather, and to keep it at a healthy weight.

7. Pet homes and breeding

Our puppies are sold as family pets. Breeding rights are not included unless agreed with us in writing before the sale. If your puppy is registered, papers are provided on a pet-only basis.

8. If you can no longer keep your dog

If at any point you can no longer care for your dog, please contact us first. We will help find the right new home or take the dog back. No refund is given in this case.

9. Agreement

By placing a deposit you confirm that you have read and accept these terms. A written sales agreement based on these terms is signed when you collect your puppy.
